Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path. - Proverbs 3:5-6
Before God had revealed His desire for us to plant a church in North Dakota, He had placed a burden on my heart for the women of the church where we were attending in Temecula, CA. So when God said “I want you to minister to my sheep in Dickinson” I knew that my calling was to come along side my husband and minister to the women in that community. When we arrived at our “new home” in Dickinson it was the beginning of November, and about 30 degrees outside.
I stood in the middle of my snow covered yard and cried out to God, “How do I do this… I don’t know how to be a pastor’s wife. I don’t know how to feed Your sheep. And… I am going to freeze to death while I’m trying to figure this all out!” The Holy Spirit brought Proverbs 3:5-6 back to my remembrance. You see, it isn’t about me; it’s all about Jesus! Calvary Chapel Dickinson’s Women’s Ministry is not my ministry, it belongs to Jesus Christ. It is a privilege for me to serve my Lord as I come along side my husband and minister to the women in North Dakota.
